Well, it finally happened....

Yes, I've been spammed. Well, this blog has. I was able to go in and delete the comment about pharmeceuticals and I've turned on word verification (I know it's a pain, but blame the spammers).

This puts me in a bit of a conundrum. As you can tell from previous posts, I'm all about free speech. However, I'm beginning to believe that there is a big difference between "free speech" and "free advertising" and I really don't think the latter benefits from any kind of constitutional protection.

One thing that I love about the blogs is the ability to comment on posts--I think it's a great form of expression and exchanging ideas. However, I don't see it as a billboard.

So, here's the deal--if you can make it through the word verification (okay, it's not THAT hard) and you have something at least slightly related to the blog to say, then post away. I love comments and I love "meeting" new bloggers through this channel. However, if anything looks like spam, it's gone. Finito. Adios. Bye-bye.

And that's all I have to say about that.

You made it into Michelle's blog for no other reason than you mentioned her. You remember, the London girl who discovered Tequilla. Pretty funny. =)

I need to get rid of my boring blog and start posting something more interesting like doing dishes or counting the number of people who make their tires screech going up the big hill by Amanda's place.

Flag burning. *shaking head* B-O-R-I-N-G!

HA! You think you outwitted me, didn't you? Nope, you've been SPAMMED again!

Eh? Was the spam something to do with me? (I'm easily confused...). And my blog is very new and very full of nothing but rambling, so I was delighted enough to find that I've got a few comments, let alone find that someone out there had put a link to my ramblings - I thought that was very nice! And made me think I should do something similar when I happen across blogs (like this one) that I spend all afternoon reading when I should be doing something more productive.

Hello, again, anyway! :)
