Googling me is a waste of time...

HowManyOfMe.com
LogoThere are
77
people with my name
in the U.S.A.

How many have your name?

There are 77 people (at least) with my name in the country. So, if you google me, the chances are you'll find someone else.

I'm not sure how accurate this is since I found two people that I know are in this country (one who sits 5 feet away from me and one who blogs here do not, according to this site, exist in this country.

Yes, I'm the introverted one!

Your Personality is Very Rare (INFP)

Your personality type is dreamy, romantic, elegant, and expressive.

Only about 5% of all people have your personality, including 6% of all women and 4% of all men
You are Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Perceiving.

I took the Myers-Briggs instrument not too long ago and was SHOCKED to discover that I was, in fact, an introvert. Thankfully, my Studmuffin is the extroverted one....

See, I'm not so bad!

You Are 16% Evil

You are good. So good, that you make evil people squirm.
Just remember, you may need to turn to the dark side to get what you want!

Continuing the plugs!

Okay, since I oh so shamelessly started plugging my own blog last night and just mentioned those that I visit, I thought I owed it to all 9 or so of you to talk about my favorite blogs. So here we go:

Walking San Luis Obispo is one of Green Turtle's blogs. See the ads for Atlas Quest on the side? If there is a youngish brown haired guy, that would be the Green Turtle. Right now he is walking all the streets of his hometown, but he recently told me that he'll be thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail in 2008. And, of course, he thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail a few years ago. He says he's writing a book about it...move over Bill Bryson!

And I Will Say it Again is his other blog. Mostly rants, but entertaining. And, of course, I can't help but to put in my two cents there!

Tofu Punk belongs to a friend of mine from high school. You have a Harry Potter question? She's the person to answer it. A word of warning, you may not want to read her blog at work. I once happened across two Barbie dolls having sex on her site. But, to her credit, I will say she is the only person I know who actually had a fight with her mother-in-law on her blog. Better than a soap opera!

Sarah's Blog belongs to a friend of mine from a mailing list. She's expecting her first child in a few weeks and, if you go into the archives, you can see the 3-D ultra sound pictures. Cool!

Mer's Blog belongs to another friend from the same mailing list. She is a true techy girl...she actually got me into instant messenging!

Evi's Blog belongs to the first total stranger to find this site. Woo-hoo! Three cheers for Evi! It's a fun blog there...and there is a link to another blog that hosts pictures of her kids.

The Rube has some great pictures! Really! I was blog surfing one day and came across them and became an addicted to his site. Strangely enough, we probably crossed paths a few years ago when he was a grad student at BU and I worked there....wacky!

Emily is a student at my alma mater, The College of William and Mary. She hasn't posted since February...I wish she'd post again.

Katlanta, on the other hand, graduated from W&M a few years before I did and now she's in grad school in Georgia. Right now, though, she's in Egypt. Cool. However, she doesn't know me--I came across her site on the alumni page and couldn't help but check it out.

The Elastic Waistband Lady is a blast! Hilarious site and she even sang to me on my site. Awwww.

Evel Squirrel is another great site. I think he and Elastic Waistband Lady are cut from the same cloth.

Ladybug is a gentle soul with a beautiful writing style. Sometimes I don't know what she's talking about, but it's pretty!

Losing Me is a weight watcher up in Canada who is brave enough to chronicle her WW journey. You go girl!

Moving North is the first of the Alaskan blogs I've found. Great fun to read...although I'm apparently supposed to send him beer?

Life with Dogs in the Yukon is, well, pretty self-explanatory. But it's fascinating to read!

Up in Alaska is, yep, another Alaska blog. I so want to go to Alaska.....

Ayumi Meegan is Tyler's (from TAR) girlfriend. Her site is far more interesting than his, though....

Julie Powell is the woman whose book inspired me to start this blog.

And there, ladies and gentlemen, are my current links. Enjoy! I'll introduce more as I add them!

2 Sort-of shameless plugs

It's late and I can't help myself...I have 2 sort of shameless plugs. One more shameless than the other. Let's start with the more shameless one and get it out of the way.

You see the Amazon.com box on the side bar? If you go through there to order books I get credit. I don't know if this makes it better or worse, but I opted not to be paid actual money but, instead, to be paid in Amazon gift certificates. You see, I love books and, unfortunately, sometimes buying the books ends up to be cheaper than going to the library (I have a, um, small fine at the moment). I love Amazon because they give me recommendations...which saves a lot of work on my part. In fact, I may be a bit more shameless and start recommending books that I've just finished and loved, such as:

Really, I did just finish it yesterday and now I want to move to Alaska!

Speaking of Alaska, that brings me to my less shameless plug. You may have noticed that my list of blogs in the sidebar is growing. What can I say, I'm a blog addict! I do recommend that you give these a look! But, also, feel free to leave comments...if you have a blog, I'll be sure to add it to the list.

Okay, plugging is done.

Here's some irony for ya....

Okay, so I found one of those, "What's my name" links...so I tried it out. This one is for my Japanese name. You know what my name is?

Saruwatari Miharu

So, the Miharu means "beautiful clear sky." That's nice! But, you know what Saruwatari means? "Monkey crossing bridge." Yeah, MONKEY! Hello, peoples! I have a monkey phobia! Argh! Yeesh!

My soul (cool site find...thanks Evi!)

You Are a Bright Star Soul

Like a shining star, you have no trouble being the center of attention
In fact, you often feel a bit hurt when all eyes aren't on you
You need to be number one in everything, no matter how trivial
And it's this ego that both hurts your confidence and helps you acheive

You're dramatic and a powerhouse of pure energy
You posess a divine quality or uniqueness that's hard to define
A natural performer, it's likely you'll become famous in some circles.
Just learn not to take everyone's reaction to you so personally!

Souls you are most compatible with: Newborn Soul and Prophet Soul
