What was once annoying is now strangely amusing!

So, for almost the past 4 months, I've had a very cheesy 80's love ballad stuck in my head. With all certainty, I can blame this on my Studmuffin since, well, he's my Studmuffin. The problem is that I hate this song. It's not one of those songs that, when you hear it for the first time, you think it's pretty and then, about the 10,000th time you've heard it in a week, you want to kill someone. I have always hated this song...from the first time I heard it (which was in the 80's....duh!). And, it's not that it is an offensive or even a bad song. It's just so, so, so cheesy.

What's the song? Well, I'm not going to tell you! I admitted this song-haunting to my Studmuffin last night, along with the disclaimer that the song was SO cheesy that I was too embarrassed to tell him the song title. Since then, he's been trying (in vain!) to guess the song. He's put out a number of guesses, none of which have been close. I can tell you that the song is not:
