Adios 2006!

This will be my last post for this year. Tomorrow is my last day in Arizona, I'll be flying back early on the 31st and then I expect that the rest of the 31st will be spent with my Studmuffin...so here is my final 2006 post.

In the end, it's been a flippin' good year! I think we've all had years when, we look back on December 31st (okay, December 29th) and nothing much seems to have changed since January 1st. This is not one of those years for me. Of course, there were ups and downs. However, the downs turned out to be pretty insignificant and, frankly, due mostly to my own naivite. And, when I've made dumb choices (which I have on occasion during 2006), I was able to actually learn something right away, instead of years later as was my habit.

Then, there are the ups...and they've been great! I did spend the bulk of this year being overly busy, but I think that's what put so many things into motion. Now, I can start to slow things down and concentrate on what is really important.

So, I hope you all--all 10 or so who read this--had as wonderful a 2006 as I did. It will only get better in 2007!

And, now the final words of wisdom for 2006:
"What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal."
- Albert Pike
