Was it this scary the first time around?

I'm still in shock. I'm still quivering in my shoes from fear. You know when the Cowardly Lion goes to see the Wizard and runs away in fear? That's me.

I was never very good at studying. As a product of the sub-standard Oregon Public Schools, I made it through school--and graduated in the top 10 in my class. That's not the top 10%, but the top 10 students in my class. Actually, I should have graduated in the top 7 or so, but the story of the imposter valedictorian is for another post. Anyway, I never studied. Then I went to William and Mary, which is a damn good school. Damn good schools are also damn hard schools and all of a sudden I had to study. I didn't know how.

Well, after four years of panic attacks, I did get it down. Then I stopped going to school for 11 years and now I'm back at it and there will need to be studying!

The difference now is that I'm only taking one class this term (and a seminar) and I'm working at least 50 hours a week. On top of that, I have church responsibilities and social events. And I'm going to have to make this all work. Man, college seems a lot easier now that I think about it!

Anyway, back to quote of the day....it's an anonymous one and it made me laugh. However, to any of my relatives who may be reading this, don't take it too seriously!
